Position Overview:

MPCH is seeking a Jr. UX Developer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the creation of innovative and user-centric digital experiences.

As a Jr. UX Developer with 3+ years of experience, you will play a key role in bridging the gap between design and development, ensuring our digital products not only meet high visual standards but also provide an exceptional user experience. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate user needs and business requirements into intuitive and engaging interfaces. You will be deeply engaged in the Agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities:

1. User Interface Design:

• Create visually appealing and user-friendly and intuitive interfaces based on user research, design principles, and brand guidelines.

• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and design mockups to effectively communicate design concepts and rapid prototyping.

2. Front End Development:

• Implement responsive and accessible front-end solutions using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate front-end components seamlessly. At times also write backend API server-side functionality.

3. Usability Testing:

• Iterate on designs based on user feedback and usability findings. In particular leveraging Agile methods.

4. Collaboration:

• Work closely with product managers and other developers to ensure a cohesive and integrated design and development process.

• Communicate and engage effectively to align design decisions with technical capabilities and constraints.

5. Prototyping:

• Develop interactive prototypes to demonstrate the functionality and flow of digital products.

• Seek continuous feedback from stakeholders to refine and improve prototypes.

6. User Research:

• Collaborate with Product Management and clients to get user feedback

• Knowledge of telemetry capture methods to understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points.

• Use research findings to inform design decisions and advocate for the user throughout the development process.

Qualifications:

1. Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field.

2. Experience:

• 3+ years of proven experience in UX design and front-end development.

3. Portfolio:

• Demonstrated ability to contribute to the entire design and development lifecycle.

• Creating effective and user-centric digital products.

4. Skills:

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js).

• Experience with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.

• Familiarity with usability principles, web accessibility standards (WCAG), and responsive design.

5. Version Control:  

• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) to collaborate with development teams and track changes.

6. Communication:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with team members.

7. Adaptability:

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

• Proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to take ownership of projects.
