This position will be dedicated to supporting Ti22’s operational needs, ensuring the seamless delivery of mission-critical products and services.

About the Role

The Business Development & Sales Intern - Public Sector will support MPCH's efforts to expand its presence within government and public sector markets. This role is specifically designed for transitioning service members who understand government procurement processes and/or have contacts at a broad range of agencies/branches. The intern will work on projects that drive revenue growth and strengthen relationships with public sector clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct research on public sector market trends, procurement processes, and potential opportunities. Analyze competitive landscape and identify key differentiators for MPCH's solutions.
  • Business Development: Assist in identifying and qualifying new business opportunities within the public sector. Support the development and execution of strategic business development plans.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with key public sector clients, stakeholders, and decision-makers. Assist in managing existing client accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, and addressing any issues or concerns.
  • Proposal and Presentation Support: Help prepare proposals, presentations, and other sales materials tailored for public sector clients. Participate in client meetings and presentations to support the sales team.
  • Sales Operations: Assist with sales forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting. Support the sales team with administrative tasks and coordination efforts.
  • RFP Response: Assist in responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to secure public sector contracts. Support the preparation and submission of proposals for Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with the marketing, product development, and engineering teams to ensure a cohesive approach to sales and client engagement. Collaborate with team members to develop and refine sales strategies and tactics.

Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree (common among military officers). 
  • Military Experience:
  • Experience in roles such as Contracting Officer, Logistics Officer, Operations Officer, or Administrative Officer is preferred. 
  • Familiarity with DOD procurement processes, operational planning, or project coordination is a plus. 
  • Skills and Attributes:
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Proficiency in using office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint). 
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with FAR/DFARS regulations or experience supporting DOD contracts. 
  • Willingness to learn proposal development tools and methodologies. 
  • Interest in obtaining APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) certification.
